bEHAVIOR eXPECTATIONS
The Milford Public Schools has adopted the PBIS {Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports} model for school behavior. This is a set of behavioral expectations that the students and staff have agreed to follow. These expectations follow staff and students from the bus, to the cafeteria, classrooms, and specials. The students and staff have participated in training enabling each student to be successful each day.
In addition to the PBIS expectations, the students in Room 244 create their own behavior expectations each year. We hold a silent Constitution Convention the first week of school. Each committee meets and creates a list of expectations they feel will help Room 244 run smoothly during the year. These ideas are presented to the entire class. Through a class conversation, the rules are agreed upon. I write up the agreed-upon rules and the students sign it. It is posted for the class to see and is referred to during the year. This year's constitution reads as follows:

7. We will be kind to each other by saying nice words and helping each other.
8. We will be safe in our classroom by walking and not fooling around.
9. We will respect our room and our materials.
10. We will follow the golden rule.
11. We will follow our school rules by always being safe, responsible and respectful!
