Point of View
Point of view refers to who is telling a story. An author uses POV to help tell the story and share the characters' emotions and opinions. The narrator's POV helps the reader understand the story, play, or poem. When you are identifying the POV, look for this:
First Person POV - look for the pronouns I, me, my, mine, we, us, ourselves
Second Person POV - look for the pronouns you, yours and your
Third Person POV - look for the pronouns he, him, his, himself, she, her, hers, herself, it, its, itself, they, them, their, theirs, and themselves
First Person POV - look for the pronouns I, me, my, mine, we, us, ourselves
Second Person POV - look for the pronouns you, yours and your
Third Person POV - look for the pronouns he, him, his, himself, she, her, hers, herself, it, its, itself, they, them, their, theirs, and themselves
