Verbs
Verbs tell what the subject of the sentence is doing. A verb can describe an action, or a physical movement. A verb can also express a mental action, like a thought. The verb is usually found after the noun, in the predicate part of the sentence. Verbs tell when the action took place - present tense, past tense, and future tense. We can tell which one it is by what ending is on the verb. We will learn more about these this year.
